Informative session on Migration advisory for Hospitality Professionals, 8th April 2022

Today, we had an enriching experience of knowing “how could we, the people of hotel and hospitality industry can make their career in Germany” which was conducted by Pro Recognition at Goethe Institut. The seminar was taken by Ms. Bhosle and Ms. Rumani. Pro Recognition is basically an advisory that informs us about the various opportunities and necessities that are there in Germany in the Hospitality industry, be it a chef or hotel receptionist, or an F&B serviceman. They are funded by the Government of Germany thus they fully provide free-of-cost consultations, be it online or offline, or even via mail. They make us know about how we can be recognized in the German Hospitality Ground since there are rules that if the curriculum of the German and the Indian or any other countries are “Equivalent” to theirs then only you will be recognized or else if partially then u might have to go through internships or training programs. They don’t charge any fees for their services. The Seminar taught me how knowing the local language of Germany ie German is so important be it in the Tranpairancy or the safety or in the communication. We also have learned the procedure that Pro Recognition will make their candidate go through and most of all it would help us to build our career on our knowledge, skill, and capabilities.

Baking Competition, 1st April 2022

Baking Competition – 1st-year Students of Masters Hotel & Hospitality Management.
Today we had a surprise competition in our Bakery practical class. As we got into the class our respective faculty told us about an impromptu competition and divided us into two groups. The main criteria of today’s competition were to use all the given ingredients and make two or three items on our own. So Gr- A Made Choco Muffins, Vanilla Muffins, Strawberry Muffins, and Kesar muffins. Gr- B made Choco-Kesar Dual cake, KesarCherry Muffins, and Choco-Cashew Muffins. As we did it for the very first time.. we were too excited but at the same time, both the groups were too competitive. From Gr- A Strawberry Muffins and from Gr-B Choco-Kesar Dual Cake were the best. Gr- A won today’s competition. But whatever the result was, both groups’ dishes were very much appreciated by our faculty. We enjoyed and learned a lot today from this surprise competition. Hope to face many more like this in the coming days.

Grooming Workshop, 21st December 2021

Why Grooming is so important in the Hospitality industry? Grooming is important because the way you look, dress & present yourself speaks volumes about your approach towards the guests. It is important to understand, that no matter what your job role is, you’re the face of your organization! The act of grooming is to make yourself and, as an extension of the organization presentable. Keeping this in mind we organised the grooming workshop for the students in order to make them aware of the different types of make-up for day and night, for different occasions, the use of colours etc. to accentuate their looks and personality. We invited Head Turner’s Academy to partner with us for the grooming sessions. One such session was held on 21st December 2021 and the outcome was fabulous.
